Vogue’s international editions have spotlighted a new generation of emerging designers pushing boundaries and redefining style across the globe. The publication recently compiled a list of these innovative creatives, showcasing their unique approaches and contributions to the fashion industry.

A Diverse Class of Global Designers
Each Vogue title nominated a standout designer from their region, highlighting the breadth of talent emerging from diverse cultural landscapes. From experimental knitwear in Slovenia to confident silhouettes in Saudi Arabia, the selection represents a significant shift in the fashion world.
Tanja Vidic, based in Borås and Ljubljana, is a Slovenian designer renowned for her provocative and unconventional knitwear, blending traditional techniques with contemporary design and recycled materials. She recently collaborated with Rick Owens, and her work has garnered attention from Cardi B.
Ziyad Buainain, representing a new wave of Saudi designers, operates out of London. His designs are characterized by generous volumes and a modern sensibility, while also prioritizing sustainable practices through the use of deadstock and recycled fabrics.
Samuel Lewis, an Australian-Taiwanese designer based in Melbourne, gained international recognition for dressing Lady Gaga at the 2025 Grammy Awards and Coachella. His work is defined by striking contrasts and experimental textures, including the iconic “mattress” dress.
Misci, a São Paulo-based brand founded in 2018, champions a distinctly Brazilian aesthetic, reimagining tailoring with body-conscious cutouts and innovative silhouettes.
“Vogue is such a powerful bolster for brands and designers, I love to see that support translate into success,” says Chloe Malle, American Vogue’s head of editorial content. Claire Thomson-Jonville, head of editorial content at Vogue France, emphasizes the importance of these voices, stating, “Self-taught, [Calydon] represents to me a new generation of young French designers building brands directly with their community, in control of their own narrative.”
