Post Malone Proposes with Custom Ring Crafted from Hints

Stylist Christy Lee was completely surprised when her boyfriend, Post Malone (born Austin Post), proposed during a visit to his Utah ranch. The singer meticulously planned the proposal, gathering clues from Christy’s ring preferences over several months.

A Series of Calculated Questions

“A couple of months before the proposal, Austin started casually slipping these ‘hypothetical’ questions about rings into conversation, trying to figure out what I liked without giving himself away,” Christy recounted to Vogue. He probed her about ring shapes – pear, heart, or cushion – and her preference for diamond settings: wrapped around a band or framing a center stone. Christy consistently expressed a fondness for simple designs with delicate gold bands.

The Perfect Ring is Created

Austin compiled these subtle hints and collaborated with Angel City Jewelers to design a stunning, Custom ring featuring a 20-plus carat natural oval diamond set on a delicate gold band. “When I saw it, I was honestly speechless,” Christy shared. “He had somehow taken all of those little conversations and created exactly what I would have chosen for myself.” Jeweler Isaac collaborated closely with Austin to ensure every detail was perfect.

Beyond the Ring: A Weekend of Surprises

The proposal wasn't the only surprise of the weekend. Upon arriving at the ranch, Christy was greeted with a baby Highland cow, bunnies, and chickens. Later that evening, Austin orchestrated a romantic dinner under a canopy of twinkle lights, with Christy’s best friends and parents joining the celebration. As light rain began to fall, Austin led Christy to a grand arch of greenery and white florals, where he presented her with the engagement ring.
