Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu Embraces Playfulness as the New Face of Haus Labs
Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu, known for her roles in Emily in Paris and Call My Agent!, stars in Haus Labs’ new “We Love Concealer” campaign. The visuals begin with a glamorous, almost vintage-style scene of Leroy-Beaulieu in bed, before she playfully picks up a paintbrush and becomes increasingly covered in paint.
A Provocative Approach to Beauty
The campaign marks Leroy-Beaulieu’s role as the new face of the Lady Gaga-founded brand’s Triclone Skin Tech collection. She describes the campaign as “provocative” and “outside the usual stuff that you see for makeup,” appreciating its playful departure from traditional beauty advertising. “We’re letting go of something about the feminine,” she explains. “This didn’t feel like that usual bourgeois way of talking about makeup.”

Saying Goodbye to Emily in Paris
As she films her final scenes for Emily in Paris, a role she’s held since 2019, Leroy-Beaulieu expresses mixed emotions about the show’s conclusion. “I feel conflicted: happy to move on and sad to leave it behind,” she shares. She notes that the ending is “emotional and, at the same time, joyful” for the cast.

The Concealer and a Childlike Spirit
Haus Labs has focused on complexion products, following Lady Gaga’s previous campaign for “We Love Foundation.” The new concealer is a lightweight, medium-coverage formula featuring skincare ingredients like fermented arnica, caffeine, and BioFerment 7 Complex. Leroy-Beaulieu enjoyed the process of shooting the campaign, describing it as allowing her to “indulge her inner child.” “I felt like I was three years old,” she reflects, enjoying the freedom to “make a lot of mess.”
The Illusion of Effortless Beauty
Leroy-Beaulieu playfully addresses the concept of effortless French beauty. “As a French woman, we love to be perfect, but it shouldn’t show,” she laughs. “It’s like, ‘I got out of bed like that.’ Actually, I spent an hour and a half making it look like I got out of bed like that, but nobody should know.” She clarifies that “natural” doesn’t necessarily mean “nothing,” emphasizing that she still puts effort into her appearance.
