Katseye’s Global Girl Group Serves Up a Delicious Surprise in Vogue’s ‘Now Serving’

Los Angeles-based global girl group Katseye is known for their musical talent, recently nominated for Best New Artist and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance at the 2026 Grammy Awards for their hit single “Gabriela.” However, a recent installment of Vogue’s ‘Now Serving’ series revealed a surprising side to the group: their culinary skills.

Four of the five members – Daniela Avanzini, Lara Raj, Sophia Laforteza, and Yoonchae Jeun – collaborated in the kitchen, crafting a delightful meal featuring virgin piña coladas, Buldak ramen carbonara, and chocolate cupcakes. Megan Skiendiel was unable to participate due to illness but contributed remotely.

Despite varying levels of cooking experience, the group successfully created a remarkably creamy concoction while sharing personal anecdotes. Avanzini admitted to rarely cooking, preferring to order Food, while the members debated the ideal pineapple juice ratio and playfully teased each other, with Laforteza joking that Yoonchae resembled Ed Sheeran. The Buldak ramen carbonara, featuring sesame oil, flavor packets, and mozzarella, proved a particular highlight.

Following the meal, each member decorated their own cupcake, resulting in beautifully crafted desserts reflecting their individual creativity. The production involved a dedicated team, including Director Nina Ljeti, Director of Photography Michael Lopez, Editor Michael Suyeda, Senior Producer Bety Dereje, Associate Producer Lea Donenberg, Camera Operator Chloe Ramos, Gaffer Eric Hinsperger, Audio Nicole Maupin and Sean Paulsen, and Food Stylist Jeannie Chen. Culinary Assistant Pancho Gatchlien and Production Assistant Myles Haywood also contributed to the seamless execution of the shoot.
