Rewatching the devil wears prada: a fashion editor's thoughts
As I rewatched the 2006 film The Devil Wears Prada, a flood of memories came rushing back of my own time working in the trenches of a Fashion publication. The getting-ready montage had me nodding along, remembering those early mornings stumbling out of bed, throwing on whatever, and racing to catch the C train to the Vogue office. Those briefcases and black shoes – oh, diva! The film's portrayal of Miranda Priestly, played by the incomparable Meryl Streep, had me both cringing and in awe of her sheer power and dominance.

A million girls would kill for that job
As Andy Sachs navigates the treacherous world of Runway magazine, I couldn't help but think of my own early days on staff. The notion of interviewing at a publication without knowing who the editor-in-chief is gives me hives – Google existed in 2006, people! Emily Charlton's biting one-liners had me laughing out loud, and I felt a pang of recognition when Andy's friends knew who Miranda was.
